Manado has recently opened a new terminal providing divers with more convenient facilities. All of the above packages can be modified. Days can be added or deleted. We can also book extensions to visit North Sulawesi. This beautiful area has beach, jungle and the highlands. We highly recommend the Gardenia Resort situated about 45 minutes from Manado in the highlands.
Distance from airport to our North Sulawesi dive resorts:
30 minutes Murex 30 minutes Santika 35 minutes Tasik Ria 60 minutes Kungkungan
A U.S. passport is required to enter Indonesia. You must have 6 months of validity on your passport. A visa is not required for U.S. citizens. At the moment there are no inoculations necessary for entry into Manado, but we recommend you see your doctor or call the health department. The official monetary unit is the rupiah, but U. S. dollars are used in most of the country. Most hotels and restaurants accept credit cards.
Seasons: There are two seasons: wet season, late November through part of March; dry season, April though November. Water temperatures vary from the high 70's to 84 degrees.
There is now a fee of 75,000 rupees to dive at Bunaken National Park. That is less than 10.00 U.S. The permit is good for one year. There is a chamber in Manado.
