Pulau Sipadan Resort - Kapalai Resort

Off the North Eastern coast of Borneo lies a tiny jewel of an island, Palau Sipadan with a marine ecosystem so perfect and unique that it is world renowned as one of the best dive spots in the world. It is the only oceanic island in Malaysia and rises as a pristine coral sea mount 320 feet from the floor of the Celebes Sea. Many of the marine species here are endemic of the island. Green and Hawksbill turtles are regular inhabitants of the island and come ashore to lay their eggs on the island. Right off the drop off in front of the resort, one can observe thousands of chevron barracuda, hundreds of jacks and scores of white tip sharks. All accommodations have toilets and showers with hot water.

Kapalai Island is just a few minutes away by speedboat from Sipadan Island. Quiet shallow waters lap at the kampung-style built bungalows over the sandy sea bottom. All chalets have toilets and shower with hot water. The diving is a haven for macro photographers. This is the lair for the weird colored flamboyant cuttlefish. It is the domain of invisible frogfish which come in all sorts of colors and sizes. All dive spots are extremely close and can be reached in just a few minutes by speedboat. Off shore diving is also easily done from the dive center pier.
